Lucky

Another wonderful day. Homeschool and chores in the morning. A nice lunch with the kids.  Then out to enjoy the sunshine!  It gets so hot out on our little patio, it feels like summer.  The girls play in their sandbox, ride on their scooters and shout out "Watch this mommy!" and "Did you see that mommy?!"  I stand there, coffee in hand, and watch them in awe.  Can this really be my life?  How did I get to be so incredibly lucky?! We played crazy 8's, and colored the rest of the afternoon before their father took them to karate.  Me, and my amazing girls.

Our Weekend

We had a nice weekend. We played in the snow, did some baking, and had a couple of "art classes" that my oldest taught. We had a tea party, finished a couple of gifts, and did some puzzles. Lots of reading happened, and I set up a scavenger hunt as a surprise for the girls while they were at karate. I so love cozy weekends with my family! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend as well!

Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street?

So we received the most fantastic Christmas present from my parents and we've been itching to use it. Today, we finally got the chance to go to Stong Museum of Play! We had a wonderful time and look forward to coming here many more times this year (since we have a year membership!)  Today they were celebrating Clifford the Big Red Dog's 50th birthday. The girls got to meet Clifford, sign his big birthday card, listen to a story, and make red dog ears to wear around. They had ice cream for lunch. They put on a play which consisted of about 15 minutes of dress-up and rehearsal, and them coming out from behind the curtain, running around, and going backstage. We had fun riding the merry-go-round. There was also a pretty sweet Lego exhibit, although I think Jeromy and I were more excited about that than the girls were. All in all a lovely day enjoyed with my family. <3

Windy Rainy Days

The weather was fantastic today! Rainy here and there, cloudy, warm enough to have my windows open, and just windy enough. It was really uplifting.  The girls had a lazy morning today. They helped me bake cookies.  I worked on the quilt some more and it looks beautiful. The girls came over today, and they all had a nice lunch together, watched Peter Pan, put on a "fashion show", and made up some new games. I had a nice talk with my cousin. After Jeromy came home we took the girls for a night time walk and they rode their scooters.  We ran into some friends.  Just a nice day.  I needed one of those.

January

As a lot of you know, my family has been going through a lot of hard times. We are all trying to be optimistic, and with that being said, instead of venting/complaining, I'd prefer to share some pics of bright moments that have happened through out the month.  Ringing in the new year with new friends, sledding, crafting, baking, scooters, chilly nighttime walks, hanging out with cousins, drawing a picture of a rainbow, littlest one made her first pair of socks,  reading, and helping mommy in the kitchen.
Love and joy to you all,

Kelly
